Gay Gaming Professionals

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Gay Gaming Professionals (GGP) serves as a pivotal professional network for LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies within the gaming industry. For over a decade, it has provided a welcoming environment for a diverse range of professionals, including lawyers, executives, game developers, and eSports players. Amidst an industry traditionally dominated by hetero-normative perspectives, the LGBTQ+ community is increasingly making its presence known. In today’s political climate, GGP has become an indispensable haven, fostering a space for queer gaming professionals and their allies to connect, share ideas, and forge new professional relationships. Annually, GGP organizes five major events at some of the largest gaming conventions worldwide, from Los Angeles, CA, to Cologne, Germany.

In 2017, I joined GGP as the Creative Director, tasked with my inaugural project of designing a logo and brand identity that truly reflects the LGBTQ+ community’s vibrancy and the gaming industry’s innovative spirit. During my tenure, I have had the privilege of collaborating with leading figures from renowned organizations and companies such as GLAAD, Xbox, PlayStation, EA Sports, Facebook Gaming, Oculus, Razer, Take Two Interactive, EPIC Games, Ghost Gaming, IGDA Foundation, and The Bigglesworth Foundation.
