ABOUT THE PROJECT
Initiated in 2009 during my senior program, Couch University represents a visionary business proposal aimed at revolutionizing college housing. Envisioned as a dedicated platform, it offers a university-focused marketplace that allows students to list, discover, and book accommodations exclusively within the student community, globally. Accessible online or through a mobile app, Couch University caters to a diverse range of housing needs—from a single night’s dorm stay to a shared space for Coachella weekend, or a luxury university apartment for a summer internship. This initiative bridges students seeking unique accommodation experiences at any budget, across a vast network of universities in the U.S., enabling students to monetize their spare space and present it to a vast audience of their peers.
To further refine and support the concept, I have meticulously drafted a comprehensive 15-page business plan. This plan details projected financial outcomes, establishes a clear organizational structure, outlines a user revenue model, and provides an in-depth analysis of industry dynamics and competitive landscape. This document marks a crucial milestone in developing Couch University, offering a detailed strategic plan for its future implementation and success. For those interested in exploring more about this innovative approach to student housing, detailed insights and the full scope of the project are available upon request.
